A Pleasant Warm Sensation
Jul. 2nd, 2002 10:47 pmThe first stage of being drunk is a pleasant warm sensation, which is actually about as far as I ever really choose to go anymore - good with me. ;-) I am bidding goodbye to my friend queenkitsune who just got a livejournal and will be using it to chronicle her travels in Australia over the coming months. Livejournal as travel journal - I'm sure she's not the first and won't be the last to use the site for that purpose. Nevertheless, it should give us all something slightly more interesting to talk about than the results of our web quizzes or our recent petty woes. Of course I'm sure there'll be some of that too.
Working on my web design freelance company, but slowly. Working and taking courses over the summer, as well as keeping up with my established committments and the sort of endless farewell-to-Kitsune process that's been ongoing has seriously drained my free time which I used to spend sitting and staring at front page trying endless iterations and subtle variations to try to create a good design. I'm sure I'll find time for that, and some of my other hobbies, again soon.
Just started the book House of Leaves by Michael Danielsky - the brother to the musician Poe whose recent album Haunted contains some of my favorite music. It's so far very interesting and surreal, which was exactly what I was looking for.
Enough for now. On to the bizarrely fun card game Unexploded Cow.
